We begin December this week with a full week of normal schedule of classes. We received notice that the district will not begin an adjusted schedule for Tuesday and Thursday. As soon as we hear any update, you will know.
There is still time to meet with your child's teachers regarding the first marking period grades, please reach out to them via email to schedule time to meet. When you email your child's teacher, it is important to use their JCBOE emails because the jcpsnj emails have many filters. Students can email their teachers directly using their jcpsnj accounts.

As the District continues preparation for Phase 2, families of pre-k to fifth-grade students will have the opportunity to enroll their child in the fun-filled remote CASPER program.

The fun-filled remote CASPER program will operate between the hours of 3-6pm on school days which are in full session and NOT operate on scheduled half days and parent conferences.

Tomorrow night from 6:30-8p we will have virtual report card night, parents contact your child's teachers to set up an appointment. Please note that I have directed teachers to set up 5 minute appointments. If those appointments are filled or you need a longer discussion with a teacher, please set another time to get into contact with them. Tomorrow, I will email the zoom calls for the Encore Teachers so you can pop in when you have time.

We would like to celebrate our staff by nominating our Teacher of the Year and Educational Service Professional of the Year. All nominations are due by Monday November 23rd at 11am.
This week grades K, 3, & 6 have live Encore classes with Remote assignments for all other grades.
Wednesday is a half day. Classes will occur up to 12:45 with specifics available with your child's teacher. Encore Classes will occur during the following times:
10am - Grades K-2 (K is live; 1 & 2 will receive remote assignments)
11am - Grades 6-8 (6 is live; 7 & 8 will receive remote assignments)
12pm - Grades 3-5 (3 is live; 4 & 5 will receive remote assignments)
School will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving. We hope that you are able to celebrate with your family using caution due to the pandemic.

Tomorrow is the end of the first marking period. Parents who would like to see their child's grades will need to wait until the end of the day Tuesday, November 17.
Since we need to have a virtual report card night, parents will need to schedule appointments with their child's teachers.
