Thank you to teachers and staff for their hard work. We are blessed to have tremendous teachers who work extremely diligently to meet all students needs. This is something that has been made much harder due to remote learning. We thank them for their efforts!

Thank you to parents who attended Parent Orientation. We had hundreds of families on zoom or Google meet connecting with teachers and other staff. Please note that you can always reach out directly to a teacher using the teacher email list to set up time to meet and discuss your child's progress. 

Nurse Stone shared a number of important items with parents last week with regards to immunizations and updated physicals. You can see them here. If you have any questions, please reach out to her: bstone@jcboe.org.

On Friday, we sent through email our annual Photo Release Form. Please complete it as soon as you can. Teachers will also reach out to any parents that have not completed the form online. Please note that one must be completed for every child at the school. 

Lunch Applications

Lunch applications help to determine funding for our school. It is imperative that every parent/guardian complete one application for their family.

A note about communication with staff

If your child is having any issues in class, please begin by communicating with their teacher directly. They will get back to you within 24 hours. We are all learning how to maneuver in this new environment. Please be patient and provide grace to teachers. We are doing so for students. 

Attendance Matters

It’s important for students to arrive to class on time when live. Most schedules are consistent and are maintained that way in order for our students to learn the rhythms of their classes. If you have attendance concerns, please reach out to Ms. Coleman. Reminders of Encore Classes are sent to middle school students on a daily basis and all other students receive reminders from their homeroom teachers. Please make sure you are checking the rotation schedule to determine if your child has live class or a remote assignment this week. Grades 2, 5 & 8 will be live this week. Google Classroom Codes can be found here. 

If you are having technical difficulties, please communicate that as soon as possible to your child’s teacher. While teaching live lessons, it is unlikely that a teacher will be able to respond to an email. However, the situation can be cleared up shortly thereafter.
